If I ever get involved in a Grail War from the Nasuverse I'm totally disregarding all of the other classes and summoning Erika as detective instead. To take down other servants she'd have to find out where they're from and explain how none of it ever happened (in the case of a purely fantasy story) or explain how everything could have happened without there being some kind of supernatural elements (if their source is somewhat fact).

3 is the best episode, everything else just pales in comparison. Sure the other episodes had better climaxes, especially golden truth, but 3 is the best from start to finish, and has equally as good ending.

I'm glad I was able to start and finish the series the way I did.
I started when the latest translated thing was the third episode, read it all, then abandoned it until it was complete, and read it all at once again starting from the start.
I was able to appreciate the speculation in the /a/ and /jp/ threads for the first chapters, then bailed out before the shitstorm about the mystery not being a mystery started.
I was then able to read it all, get attached to the characters, get immersed in the story, cry, and enjoy it fully, only to then get back in the threads when the 'serious' conversation was already dead, just to enjoy the "I want to deito Lucifer" posts and "Would you fug Erika" fun.
To this day it's one of the stories that made me feel the strongest feelings, that made me interested the most in its story and that caught me the most in its atmosphere, out of any media, 2D or 3D, written or animated.
I'm truly glad I was able to enjoy it fully without tripping into people thrashing it just because it wasn't muh Christie textbook mystery, or because their favourite MC wasn't the focus anymore.

From the early spooky mystery to the good ol' days of Battler figuring out how to meta battle to the myriad of mystical realms and realities where we met so many different personalities and learned so many dumb tricks. DEEN's the one who made most of those changes first. I first played the game back before the ps3 version came out, but when I saw the remake I didn't really mind that they kept DEEN's designs. I was just hyped about the game getting professional art and voice acting.
