That's what she's been known by for so many years, so it's hard to change from a PR standpoint. Same thing with Marth from the Fire Emblem games-- It's clear his name is supposed to be "Mars" after the God, but the name "Marth" is so ingrained to westerners.

One example of successfull name correction is Holo, she was knows as Horo for a long time, but I now I only see her proper name. But that's a series that is still talked about and watched by people, so it's probably easier to correct than trying to go back and change old, irrelevant stuff.
