The assistant force the mangaka to let her win. You can see that when the ending changed a bit to not show that Chihiro really win and just implied it.

He treats those he met as means to an end.Shunning them for Chihiro.Heck, he is even worse than chpt 1.I wanted to see him be more caring and less self-centred.Even the hardcore otakus probably wouldn't be this cold.You may or may not love them but to just leave them like that....Even Chpt 1 keima had some of the basics of respect.

Well, I never got to see her coming of age story.That sendoff was pretty stupid.A lame attempt to give her some development .Telling someone to move on does not mean you dealt with it.

This is a telephone tag effect of the fact that the editor suggested Chihiro's first arc should come earlier in the story than Wakaki first intended. Looking at it with hindsight this might have been because the ending of the manga or at least her role in it was planned out well in advance and the editor thought it would pace the manga better to fully introduce her earlier.

First of all, it's not about "moments" or "hints", you attention deficit scum. The manga always had themes and motifs about the imperfection of love and imperfection of the real world. Keima's character went from 2D only the real world is meaningless to the real world and the people in it are flawed but interesting. Do you maybe see why this fits with the whole theme we're going for and why it makes sense for Keima as a character who's undergone this character development to be attracted to an imperfect human who he can't control like he did in his games? What the fuck did you think the whole Akari arc was for? It was meaningless to the outcome of the plot, so unless there's symbolic or thematic meaning there it shouldn't be there. The whole point was Keima coming to terms with the idea that if everything was perfect then love wouldn't be needed. I seriously hope you're not this retarded/delusional to see that the ending made perfect sense and was likely planned from chapter 1 or at least very early on. The message of the series (unpredictability of humans makes the real world interesting) and Keima's character development both point to this conclusion, and if you can't see that then you have some serious brain problems.

There aren't many hints in the actual narrative, but there's an afterward where Wakaki says he wishes plain girls like Chihiro would get more limelight in manga. From then on it was pretty obvious that she'd be the girl Keima would end up with.
The real kicker is how much Tenri and Tenrifags were led on, coupled with how appalling bad the final third of the manga is anyway, just for it to peter out and end in such an anti-climactic way make this ending difficult for anyone to appreciate. I can't imagine any but the most hardcore Chihirofags or Tenrihaters actually enjoy it for what it is; as a Haquafag I knew my girl had 0 chance of winning and I still found the ending extremely unsatisfying.

I had my suspicions from the start, since her arc was the only one that deviated from the initial formula. I didn't like her, but I the theme that was set up was pretty obvious and the festival arc only served to solidify my suspicions.

While Nishino always had tension with Manaka and dated quite a few times, Manaka taking his feelings for Nishino seriously only came in the last stretch, after the author setting up Aya during most of the story.
It's like if Onodera won Nisekoi, it would make sense in that Raku has liked her all the story, but the plot is clearly fucking set up for Chitoge to win.
