This seems like a lot of fun. While the first half was a bit underwhelming (besides the explanation about his death), the second half was enjoyable. The interactions between Kazuma and Aqua are vastly more entertaining than the usual we get between the male and female leads of these types of shows. That QUALITY though, hopefully that's not the case for the rest of the show.

Well not everyone can bring a thief and no one wants to be an adventurer because it is jack of all trades, master of none. In general, specializing is better. Kazuma just makes those necessary connections to get him the skills with the most utility and has the cunning to actually use them.

It's usually easier to just form a party with specialists in all the areas you need.
The thing with adventurers is that they spend more skill points to get skills.
While that's negligible early on where everything costs one skill point, at higher levels, you end up with a guy that can do all these basic things, but doesn't have the higher tier of skills and is generally useless.
Why would a high level party without thief skills hire an adventurer to provide basic to intermediate thief skills when you can have a high level thief join instead?
Also, you can class change once your stats get high enough, so I doubt anyone stays as an adventurer unless they're lazy like Kazuma.

The issue is that you need a lot of connections to make it good. Technically speaking, Kazuma's strongest skill is something he took from a boss tier monster. He could probably learn some of Vanir's skills too. Issue is that most people don't have liches or devils as good friends. Plus a lot of the higher ranking skills cost more skill points. The cost for learning skills as an adventurer are much higher than if you were of that class.
