I don't see the 02 lads getting a lot of spotlight, maybe we're just going to see Imperialdramon and get some explanation about the other Digimons and kids fate and that's it, but if they happen to somehow be more prominently featured, Slashangemon makes a lot of sense to me. I never liked Plesiomom as Gomamon's ultimate, he fits Gomamon but doesn't look like a Zudomon's progression, he looks less powerful to me. Still better than Marineangemon though.

Probably, but that's a big if. He might not appear at all, or might stay at Perfect and still be stronger than the jobber angels due to infection.
I'm hoping he evolves to Cherubimon for maximum nostalgia, but I expect V-mon's line to be the only 02 partner line to return.
It's like how there are three Armor species in Cyber Sleuth: one's a Royal Knight, one's a recolor (in the context of the game), and the third is Fladramon. Then there's Agnimon and Shoutmon in Next Order, but there's no way even half the species introduced in Frontier and Xros will be included. It's just gogglehead privileges.
