Actually Anime in general was never suppose to be sexualized. Its only for people who want to escape their harsh realities of knowing they'll never get what they truly want out of love and relationships and move towards a 2D level of compassion. People then deny this and instead will argue you down or try and troll you as if their shit doesn't stink.
There's a reason western comic and cartoon don't pander to these people as much as anime/manga. Majority of the world LOVES stuff that's outside their own borders for the very reason of not wanting to fit into the mold their country sets. Basically everyone who's not into western comic, cartoon or any of their own nation's artistic freedom and is instead into Anime/Manga are edgy.
