Here is what you need to know.
Armisael has some really strong defenses, so you want to bring your heavy guns to the fight. Like all Angels you are going to have to neutralize its AT Field to make any headway, but between its evasive abilities, exotic armor, and strange morphology traits you are just going to have to accept up front that this is going to be a grueling fight.
The best tactic is to pick someone who can afford to take a lot of Ego damage and send them in first so they get Fused. This will force Armisael to lose its conditional celerity defense, making it easier to hit the damn thing. Then you just go in and pound the crap out of it. Anti-armor armor weapons as basically useless, because of the Exotic Armor, but anything that increases hit effects or lowers toughness (like Sonic weapons) are fair game. Failing that, just go for raw damage.
If you can kill Armisael before your sacrificial lamb suffers and Ego break, you earn a gold star. Otherwise that pilot and their Eva is in for some shit as their Eva gets Angel-infested, but the good news is that Armisael blows its load doing that and tends to be easier to deal with after that, though its still dangerous.
So Armisael is a fight that tends to massively screw over one guy, and if you know that going into it the rest of the pilots can go into full beatdown mode.
Tokyo 03 fucked up by only deploying a single Eva up front, so once Rei started getting owned there was no backup until it was already too late.
