There are shit tons of classics that I've never seen and will never see because I just can't deal with dated animation. Exceptions are movies and some OVAs since they usually have a decent budget that allows for higher quality animation.

This is not based off of any fact. PowerPuff Girls, Dexter's Laboratory, Johnny Bravo, The Justice League for children only? Seriously? Even then, although the American cartoons you are referring to may be directed towards adults or children only, that doesn't mean that they cannot be enjoyed by anyone of any demographic.
Eastern animation on the other hand is created by the Japanese, for the Japanese. The fact that we enjoy it, regardless of age, race, nationality, gender, or sex means a lot especially since it was not MEANT for us.
It would be absolutely lovely for American animation to cover more genres and topics, but thanks to how our society (conservative Christian) is set up that just won't happen any time soon but there are hints that will change in the future.

I think they both are, at least if you look at the best animation from nip and Western TV. Obviously you know more about Western cartoons than I do, and my historical knowledge about them is basically nil, but I haven't seen anything in recent years that had as good animation as something like Nichijou, and that really stings when you compare the budgets for a lot of these shows.

I don't get what is entertaining about Mecha. I will never watch Eva, Code Geass, TTGL, etc because I find the genre absurd.

But I think Endless Eight was an interesting concept both because it was neat to see essentially the same thing made from scratch eight separate times by different people or just simply interpreted differently, and it was an interesting way to deliver the story (specifically what Yuki was going through) to the viewer stronger, and I'm a sucker for that kind of stuff.
Was it good or the best thing they could've done? That's arguable, but I found it interesting for what it was.

one really fucked up thing i do, is i take out my video editing software, cut out all the openings and endings of a average 12-13 episode shows (i leave 1 op at the beginning and 1 ed at the end). then i combine all of the footage to form one 4 or 5 hour long video and then i upload it to my phone. Its easier to watch that way. I watch 5 minutes of the video here, 1 hour there and bam, another anime bites the dust....!
