Kujo unlocking his familiars and gaining more power is a major plotpoint.
Sadly the author is shit at handling a strong protagonist, so he makes him do nothing most of the time to give spotlight to his sluts when Kujo could nuke most of bad guys with his powers. Writing is quite poor.
