It's the exact same now as it was before, maybe even funnier than the dbz anime towards the end. All this bullshit and whining is exactly what would've been said if forums were popular enough in 1993 to allow such a large number of fags to microprocess every singe scene in an echo-chamber dedicated to contrarianism to popular shit (this being based on the single most popular anime in the world, which has long been called garbage to spite people who liked it as kids).
tl;dr, nothing changed, DBS is middle-of-the-road at worst, and stays true to the tone of the story from Z. The execution in the anime is largely unimpressive (nothing to be done about Toei), but the story that's happening in the manga is interesting and pretty exciting. If anyone has an issue with it being based around food, then I'm gonna have to remind you that it's not, it's based around the titular super dragon balls.
