My one complaint about the anime is that it came off as more of an action series than the manga which are clearly gag series.

It's nice in retrospect when watching an original series to spot the event clearly referenced in the OP, but after a while you just start to know the plot developments ahead of time simply because they use the same symbolism or directly reference shit. Same goes for the translation of songs, that shit can spoil it as well.
When watching an adaption of something you've already read it's not as big a deal. There's also some sort of cultural difference with how they reveal spoilers, they just don't fucking seem to care, particularly in anime.
I just don't like having the series spoiled because I watched a 90 second clip. Evolving or completely irrelevant scenes are the best.
