I can see why. Shit got down after EP4, that proved that only Battler's POV was real and valid, and EP5, that gave a hint of rules. But with EP6, the main mistery was dispelled. After that it's hard to even give a fuck about the culprit. The fact that everybody is sitting over a giant bomb also helps.

Umineko's overall idea is pretty much genius, even if the execution was sloppy. I doubt that Ryukishi can top himself with that. The whole system of the Red Truth and the meta worlds make a very interesting premise for writing, it basically requires that the mistery has to be hidden in an insane layer that can be hidden on half truths, like Beato's triple personality.
