It's had it's moments but I don't think anything so far has come close to the thorkell vs thorfinn fight / Knut's awakening chapters and their aftermath.

It's still great but the pre-farm stuff was better. Not just for the action, but the pacing was great and it felt like the story was really going somewhere. There's a very strong arc with Canute and Askeladd. Now it seems sort of aimless, with 2 arcs ending because Thorfinn refused to fight. It's kind of belaboring the point on pacifism
