And thanks to my wonderful card SantaKOfromIL, I was grinning the moment I saw the Sonic on the envelope but I still wasn't prepared for the contents. The whoop of joy I let out when I opened it scared my cat and probably woke up the whole house. I was stunned both by your generosity, the cuteness of your drawings, and that you managed to pack so many lovely gifts into one envelope. Steven went right onto my tree, the strap on my bag, and the sticker and card are on my shelf making me smile every time I pass them.
I'm so glad you included your return, because I'm for sure going to send you a little appreciation surprise. One question - is your last name reallyorz? The postal service beat the shit out of the envelope (no worries, the card was only a little roughed up and nothing inside was damaged at all) and there was a hole right through it, so it looked like there might have been more letters.

Mitsu from CA, I didn't sign up for cards this year so I didn't expect to get a drawing of my waifu. Getting a drawing of a qt tiny Rea is a Christmas miracle and I'll cherish it forever. And I love Yukiko and I've wanted that nendo for a while so I'm really happy with my gift as well. It's okay if you couldn't find merch of my waifu, her scale is quite expensive now and I own both that and a body pillow. I would recommend not watching Sankarea, honestly. Rea is an angel but the show isn't very good and the manga isn't much better but I'd recommend it over the anime. Good luck if you do watch it and merry kurisumasu, santafriend!!

Personally, I bought a decent amount of volumes of the manga at book off recently so I'm reading those as practice. It hasn't been terribly difficult so far, but I'm guessing that might also have to do with my memories of having seen the anime several times over the years.

It's a guide book, not an artbook, it's focused on stuff like interviews, timelines, episode summaries with commentary by the staff and all kinds of other information about the show, but sadly a lot of artwork that deserves a full page only get a thumbnail. It also has gems likeevery costume every character wore in every episode of 365 and Honeycomb

By far one of the best gifts I've ever gotten. Not only did the taste come through but actually something unique for once.
Picture doesn't do it enough justice, the contents is what makes it. The Haibane Renmei scenario collections especially are incredible and going through the Nausicaa artbook makes me choke up. The Nausicaa figure was a huge surprise, it came in a blank box, had no idea what it could be. Not gonna lie, didn't know what to think of the Sketchtravel at first but after going through it and seeing Miyazaki's sketch, this is actually really legit.

The yukata Yuno nuigurumi is wonderful, I love it so much. She'll go right next to my uniform version. Unless the manufacturer is Griffon, in which case the bootleg is probably better.

Bootlegs usually don't look that good, and the quality of their construction is usually sub-par. We're talking parts that don't fit together nicely and stands that break easily. I've learned to avoid buying shit from conventions because of this.
