If he kicked him anywhere else other than the moon, Saitama would've kept flying to space until he ran out of air (since he can't breathe in space).
>>
>>135190568
Pretty much.
>>
>>135190568
or he could have punched behind him and that would have pushed him back to earth? silly plebs
>>
>>135190568
he can punch himself to earth
>>
Or if he would have just one punched him from the get go we wouldn't have a cool fight
>>
If he launches his suit off with enough force the recoil will send him back to earth.
>>
>>135190568
Except all he would have to do is hurl one of his gloves or boots in the opposite direction of earth and he would have been fine.

Nigga do you even physics?
>>
>>135192633
And considering Saitama is relatively light but monstrously strong it would easily work.
>>
>>135192633
He doesn't even have to do that. Considering his blows carry enough force to vaporize mountains miles away he could probably just throw a straight punch at nothing. Or maybe "swim" towards earth. Hell, he could probably even sneeze or fart his way back.
>>
>>135192943
>he could probably just throw a straight punch at nothing

That would do exactly nothing.
>>
Do you think Garou was the legendary fighter Boros was supposed to fight on equal terms and Saitama was just at the wrong place?
>>
>>135192994

Engines in space push against nothing an they still work. Force is energy and energy is motion. Finish high school first, kid.
>>
>>135193272
Zero friction. Whatever force his punch generated would be cancelled by bringing his arm to a halt. He'd have to launch some part of his total mass in another direction to have any effect in space.
>>
>>135193272
They don't push against nothing, they expel matter behind them.
>>
>>135193272
You apparently don't know how rocket engines work. They don't push against nothing. They shoot out gas so that the reactive force pushes the rocket forward.
>>
>>135192994
It would, because hes that powerful.
>>
>>135193272
The center of mass of Saitama + suit moves with constant velocity as long as there are no forces. Clearly throwing a punch is not an external force if it hits nothing. If Saitama throws a glove in the opposite direction to earth, the center of mass frame moves with the same velocity relative to the earth, but Saitama and the glove will move with equal and opposite momentum in the center of mass frame. If the velocity of Saitama in the center of mass frame exceeds the velocity of the center of mass frame relative to the earth, then he's saved.
>>
Considering how fast Saitama made it to the moon, and that he didn't even react at all until hitting the moon, what if he ended up getting launched so far away from earth so quickly that he couldn't tell which direction earth was? If he didn't pass closely by any objects he might not even know which direction he was moving. And if he miscalculates and doesn't go directly backwards he could end up missing the earth
>>
>>135191714
>>135192406
Punch at what? Space is empty.
>>
>>135192943
Swim towards what? If the moon wasn't there, he'd be swimming all the way to Jupiter.
>>
>>135195472
His durability isn't in question here. He can't breathe in space and if the moon wasn't there, he'd die.
>>
>>135195472
He could calculate his relative velocity based on stellar parallaxes and calculate a reverse direction #ez.
>>
>>135195595
He could just take off a glove then throw it in the opposite direction with enough force that the counter-force generated would catapult him back to earth.
>>
>>135190568
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k25C4NQ5sFQ

Had the same thought.
>>
>>135195499
Not quite, if you impart enough velocity to the very few particles hanging about it should be possible to move in the opposite direction
>>
/a/ tries to do physics and fails the thread.
>>
>>135193018
Either Garou or Blast
>>
>>135195658
>>135195788

Even still Saitama is not that smart and it's unknown if his glove has that much mass to give him that much thrust if the throws it

Even still he would die from no oxygen using it to punch his way back to earth if he is really far away.
>>
>>135195790
>Punchfags try to do physics

fyp
>>
All of this Saitam doing physics to reverse his momentum is not in character of Saitama at all.

He's just a failed salaryman, at that.
>>
There is no limit to how long Saitama can hold his breath
>>
Are you fucking idiots serious? You are trying to add logic to a show where a guy became the strongest in the universe using regular strength training. Seriously?
>>
>>135195849
>Saitama would still die becuz hes 2 dum to do it
Can we please keep assumptions out of this. He was smart enough to test the gravity on the moon before jumping back to earth, he's smart enough to figure that he should create a counter-force to send himself back to earth when in empty space.
>>
>>135195849
>it's unknown if his glove has that much mass to give him that much thrust if the throws it
easy fix, just take off the glove and punch it normally
>>
>>135195658
You say that but do you honestly think Saitama would do that at a speed that knocked him into space in seconds.
>>
>>135195991

Nobody pumps the batmobiles tires .jpg

It's still fun to discuss things like that sometimes though
>>
>>135196064
>>135196020
He only figured this out after landing on the moon.

If he didn't hit the moon and was traveling at that speed, he wouldn't punch his cape. He isn't that smart.

The Hulk is not smart but is smart enough to do the same Saitama did around the same time.
>>
>>135195962
This.

>>135195849
>>135195595
>>135190568
If you fucks would read the webcomic or manga, you would see that Saitama doesn't need to breathe at all. Once he gets on the moon, he says something like "holding my breathe is something I need to do, right?" as if it's a second thought. He only held his breath because he thought he should, and he already survived on the moon several seconds with his mouth agape, he'd probably lose all the oxygen he'd be holding in by that time.
>>
Haven't thought of that yeah he would have died in that situation but if saitama was serious he could have just dodged all of boros's attacks. I think saitama breaking his limiter and therefore having no limits only really pertains to power he still seems to be a normal human, so people much weaker than him could kill him if they were to launch him into space.
>>
You can't just "hold your breath" in space. All the gas in your body would exit and evaporate instantly through your pores.
>>
>>135196168
>If you fucks would read the webcomic or manga, you would see that Saitama doesn't need to breathe at all
see >>135196020

>>
> Saitama barely notices a kick that propels him with relativistic velocity into the moon

What I don't get is why the crater on impact with the moon was so small. I'll buy the ship's orb dampening Saitama's impact, as it has to be able to travel through space. That can be handwaved away into the realm of superscience. But the moon doesn't exactly deal with lightspeed impacts of anything.

Even though Saitama has no limiter and can't be harmed, being kicked into the moon should have still shattered it into a gazillion pieces.
>>
>>135190568
Saitama didn't need to take a single one of those blows. The fact that it was aimed at the moon was the reason why he was okay with taking it.
>>
If Boros knocked him into space not aiming at the moon then yeah, One Punch Man is One Dead Man.
>>
>>135196168

You have been all over the place damage controlling but you don't understand him giving any type of effort proves he is not limitless and he is not unbeatable and we are not even talking about how strong he is!

We are talking about a what if! Chill out.

He was going incredibly fast and would have ceased losing speed past the atmosphere. He would have hit something, and then still been able to propel himself back because he's goddamn Saitama.

ITT we try to defeat the undefeatable yet again ie. plot armor.
>>
>>135196796
>would have ceased losing speed past the atmosphere.

He still had momentum beyond the atmosphere, which means he could've gone past the moon all the way to the Milky Way.

Boros could've won. Deal with it.
>>
>>135196290
>being kicked into the moon should have still shattered it into a gazillion pieces.

Nope. 30 trillion megatons of explosives is needed to destroy the moon. Saitama's moon landing didn't even give out a fraction of that power.
>>
>>135190568
>>135196796

Yes well if Saitama tried from the beginning Boros would not be able to land that punch and would've lost from the beginning. Why is there a physics discussion on this when we all knew Saitama wasn't trying.

But since he didn't, if Boros had kicked him without the moon getting in the way, Saitama would've died.
>>
OK...

saitama uses all of his energy to fly through space...
>>
>>135197364
Of course, but that's a stupid argument
It's like saying Sonic could have beaten Saitama if Saitama just let Sonic throw him in the ocean and drown him or something
>>
So if Saitama has sex and thrusts his dick in a girl, would it break her in half? Remember the fly scene?
>>
>>135197729
>Of course, but that's a stupid argument

Not really. This isn't an argument of who's stronger, it's a "What if" of if Boros kicked Saitama anywhere else other than the moon, he would've run out of air and died in space.
>>
>>135197039
>Master Roshi is stronger than Saitama
>>
>>135198167
But Boros was the one who did that kick, not Saitama
>>
>>135198247
Saitama did the moon jump back, which barely fazed the moon.
>>
>>135198167

It's an established fact that celestial bodies in the DB/Z universe are absurdly fragile.

The destructive power that Roshi shows during his fights is nowhere near close to comparable to what you'd need to destroy something like the Moon. This is applicable to pretty much every other fighter too.

>It's an established fact

Where? [Citation Needed]
>>

So no citation? No official sources that state that the moon in DB is more fragile than our moon? Just rampant speculation on your part so that you can say, "Nu-uh, Saitama is stronger than Roshi or any Dragon Ball charater!" even though Saitama doesn't have universe-ending punches?

Ran the numbers.

Assuming a mass of 65kg, Saitama's three-second journey to the moon gives him a velocity of .43c and the kinetic energy of Krakatoa.

In order to apply the same kinetic energy to a 6-gram glove and start propelling himself back to Earth, he'd have to throw the glove at so close to the speed of light that WolframAlpha refuses to give a percentage and just rounds up.

But I believe in the One Punch Man, because he kills everything in one punch, and stopping in space is called "killing your velocity," so naturally it should only take one punch to stop, and at most one more to reverse course and return to Earth.
>>
>>135202720
difference is saitama was casual while this guy was not
>>
>>135195472
He managed to land on on earth at a fraction of lightspeed and with precision of a few hundred meters. As strong as Saitama is the degree of control he has over his power is phenomenal. ( and it makes sense considering all his fights require him to control himself )

Anyway as long as he has a footing he's sure to land back on earth.

I don't know why you're trying to bring up physics in an anime like this in the first place
Obviously there's no possible way Saitama's small body can produce enough force that is produced from one of his serious punches. There's no way he's able to stay at a complete standstill without the force of the punch demolishing the ground below and around him either, he should either be sent flying or have some serious support stands dug deep into the ground to hold him in place.

>Boros Should've Beat Saitama
This is all under the assumption that Boros wanted to beat Saitama
He suffered from Goku syndrome, he wanted a clean fair fight at the top of both of their abilities, if anyone wanted to beat anyone they would just send them to space while disabling anything that would allow them to fly back to earth
But no, Boros really just wanted to go all out and fight
Boros wouldn't have beaten Saitama because that's not the kind of character he was
>>
>>135205096
>Saitama can't do shit to Don based on his current feats. Don shits on Saitama.
>>
>>135205109
To be fair he was willing to use a move that would not only wipe out the target, but the planet as well.

And we can assume the attack would've killed Boros from recoil as well. He wanted Saitama dead
>>
>>135204584
This.
Powerlevel threads regarding OPM are the dumbest shit this board has ever embraced, it is a comedy manga about a guy who can literally win ANY fight with one punch. Feats and powerlevels do not apply. He will have as much speed and endurance and maneuverability as it takes to survive against any opponent long enough for the buildup to reach its apex, before delivering the titular punch.

If ONE/Murata did a crossover with the guy who wrote Demonbane, and they fought, Demonbane would sense how powerful Saitama's punch would be and dodge out of the way rather than take the force of it.
And retards would actually take that as a "feat" and use it to compare Saitama to other characters in other fictional universes with other rules.

>>135204669
Saitama wins in one punch, kill yourself with one bullet.
>>
>>135205155
wow,you seriously are denying the fact that don can't punch toriko to pieces, which means that ifd toriko can beat him saitama with pulverise him
>>
>>135205321
That was after testing the water, he was sure that Saitama would either survive the attack and continue the fight anyway, or die from it but be a worthy enough opponent so as to force Boros into using such an attack in the first place.
>>
>>135205352
>Saitama can't do shit to Don based on his current feats. Don shits on Saitama.
>>
>>135203184
So his feats are minimal.

No feat, no dice.
>>
I'm pretty sure he did the rock thing to see how hard he needs to jump to both make it back and not shatter the moon.

The fact the Saitama can even survive on the moon without any sort of suit is already enough to tell you he could've gotten back no matter where he went.

He'd do the glove thing and land, look at boros and say "You owe me a new glove" or some shit.

All these threads do is trick retards into spouting this shit in the normal OPM threads like it holds any water. Please stop.

I keep up with toriko, and don's a bit confusing but he's nowhere near what this guy's talking about.

Sure, he can blow up the moon with a little hop and all that, but most likely saitama can too if he gets serious.

Don's "Universe level" feats are reigned in by the fact that he needs a host body, otherwise he exists as a kind of slime/mold/appetite/thing inside the cells of practically everything. But currently, he's in a body that can easily be one punched.

Hell, the current body ain't even the one he wanted. It's going to surely break down right before he deals a finishing blow

Eh, that could merely be because Saitama hasn't had the chance to yet. Nothing has brought up that level of power to combat.

Humans can actually survive the vacuum of space for around 6-8 minutes IIRC.
What is amazing is the fact that Saitama made escape velocity (~5300 mph) and survived reentry temps with barely a scratch

>wrong again
That was my first post on this thread.

The only reason I posted is because I'm sick and tired of people like you not getting it. Saitama is literally unbeatable. It doesn't matter what his opponent can do, he was written to be Superman's Superman. It's stupid but that's what the quirk is about this manga. Saitama has no place in powerlevel arguments because he outclasses everything/everyone else anywhere by leagues because he was designed to be like that. It's a joke, and you all get so worked up about it. Why? It's fun to have this kind of bizzare manga scenario in the world. Go take a walk outside and unwind; learn how to deal with ambiguity, and inferiority complexes.

Jesus, it's like saying that JoJo's Bizzare Adventure is gay because of the poses. Why are you taking it seriously? It was put in there to make fun of other shit or put a spin on it. Whatever, this is what I get for going on /a/ during Christmas, when all the respectable people are sleeping or with their families.
>>
>>135206049
scuffed, but no actual damage since he never reacted to any of it in any form. Also >>135206169
he's nigh indestructable. He just plays along most of the time with the villains hoping he can get some satisfaction out of it, which never happens cause they never perform to his actual peak, wherever it is.

>>135206188
Toriko? The faggot that got snorted half to death and then lost to a blue and gold balled monkey multiple times even with friends?
Fuck no. He still has a ways to go to even deal with a planet buster like Neo.
Something like Don Slime with Ichiryuu's body? Maybe.
>>
>>135206188
Yeh. He destroyed the moon, didn't he?

He can take on Tournament Saga Piccolo (Ma Jr.) too. Maybe.
>>
>>135206049
He was dirtied, not injured in the slighest. HIs clothes only get damaged under his own power when he comes back.

Boros sending him to the moon is only there to show that he is more powerful than previous enemies. That's it. It is not a feat and ONE has said that Saitama will never be challenged, period.

>>135206231
Boros took the tail end of that hit, which went through an allegedly planet busting attack, and did not make direct contact at all.

Power level discussion are retarded in this context (because we have nothing to go on since the point is the parody, not the power level crap), but at least argue properly for your side.

>>

He had actually taken no damage whatsoever, only his clothing fabric was a bit torn in some places.
And he could, in fact, finish him in one punch, and did. A couple of half-assed punches vaporized Boros but didn't destroy his core, so he regenerated back to full health. One serious punch destroyed Boros completely. Absolutely nothing Saitama did in the fight prior to his serious punch mattered, he could have opened with it and would have won on the spot.

Nigga, you can't make the dead organ over the top of your body keep from getting scuffed up just through training.
It was a mixture of dirt and some red that wasn't even really bleeding.

He was completely unfazed by all of it, and Boros only lasted as he did due to obscene healing ability and the fact that Saitama never punched him at full power, even against the planet busting laser.

The anime implies that Saitama's trip to the moon took a matter of seconds each way. Our own moon is about 8 lightseconds away from the surface of Earth, so assuming a similar setup (though I think OPM takes place in a different kind of world with a Pangaea-like setting) Saitama would be moving at highly relatavistic speeds each way from his moon trip. The average dude weighs something like 65 kg and let's say, being very generous here, he went only .75c His kinetic energy, relatavistically, would be something like 3*10^18 J. As per Wikipedia, that's three ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE more energy than has been released nuclear testing worldwide done prior to 1996. Both from Boros' hit and Saitama's jump. By all rights, the moon should have a large noticeable crater and perhaps a chunk of crust missing.
Not trying to argue anything, just fun.

You can achieve the force needed to shatter the moon if you move fast enough
>>

You have to think about the energy Saitama himself absorbed from impacts. his durability is incredible. He probably has a supernatural absorption of immense kinetic energy when it comes to either dishing it out or absorbing it.

like when he throws a punch that can affect clouds thousands of kilometers away it doesn't even move him back a centimeter from the recoil.

Here's another fun fact. Space is in fact not empty, and contains a few molecules per square centimeter, more if you are near a body.

Because normies' aren't the only ones. Particularly with popular shows, contrarian shitposters feel an ingrained urge to flock to anything popular and incite shit-flinging wars for their own amusement. These people are always autistic as fuck, and very vocal about it, which is why discussion gets dragged down so much. When Saitama jumped from the Moon to Earth, he took about 5 seconds or less. At perigee — its closest approach — the moon comes as close as 225,623 miles (363,104 kilometers). Therefore, Saitama's speed is about 261,434,880 km/hr, which is about 1/3 of light speed. Although he cannot "fly", his "jumping" can be that fast.

And when did I say it was a feat? When the author says that he write the character to be the strongest, with no challenge, then all feats become meaningless in the context of his fights. Because nothing matters beyond the plot.

Look, I'll humour you for a minute.
Saitama's feats, such as they are, are pointless.
His punch against the Sea King blows away the rain. That's something on the level of Superman. Except it only does that, and does not cause a shockwave blowing away the entire block as it should.
Take his only attack against Genos during their spar. Genos is directly in the line of fire, but his hair is only blown away, while the countryside is destroyed. Because the plot demands he showcase absurd, all encompassing strength, in a humorous fashion.

The best example is his Serious Table Flip. If you can't admit that's a gag, I don't know what to tell you. He throws thousands of tonnes of debris in the air, without touching them. That makes no sense. You can't calc it, But he still does it because that's part of a well known comedic routine.

He can't especially if he gets hit hard enough to fly across planets in space.

OPM power= Beat anything in 1 punch.
Goku power=Internal energy turned into external energy.

Ok here's an argument sperglord. Look at OP's post. My claim is that OP assumed Saitama didn't land on the moon on purpose. I didn't say Saitama 100% definitely did it on purpose, because I'm not a sperg. I just put forth the idea that he may have, because it's funny along the same vein as the series' humor. I understand you may not get such simple social cues so I hope you enjoyed this explanation. Regardless, there's nothing to concede since nothing I said was wrong.

>>
But could Saitama beat Uchiha Madara?
>>
>>135209525
Two things:
First: and so what? What is the point of your scenario? Proving that the plot moves in his favour?
Second:
Especially in the anime, when he arrives, his behaviour is not one of distress. He actually goes out of his way to waste 10 seconds looking around and playing with a rock. Which, if anything, would lend credence to the idea that he can last extended or limitless amounts of time there, merely going through the motions just because.
>>
>>135209874
>has successfully proven he is capable of suffocating.

That's not how burden of proof works. You're claiming something out of the ordinary, so you should be the one to prove that Saitama isn't capable of suffocation (blatant baseless speculation, mind you).

there's this thing called "law of momentum conservation"
in space, a human can be without much error considered as a separated system
this means that, no matter how he is moving his body, the center of mass stays in the same position, so unless he moves certain part of his mass (for example, his glove), he alone won't move anywhere
>>
>>135209905
Don't start that shit.
>>
>>135209976
This is amazingly circular. There is nothing of the sort to prove, since the author will never go out of his way to put Saitama at risk. Moreover, Saitama's entire nature as the main character means that such things have no bearing on him, even before factoring the gag manga genre.

So again, what are you trying to prove? That he is the MC?

Take any fictional work. The MC has exceptional luck, and circumstances work in his favour at all times. That's how it has worked since the beginning of fiction.
>>
>>135210030
correction, the center of mass stays at the same velocity and can not be changed by internal forces

I hate to be that guy but I'm a bit of a physicsfag. The KE I got earlier this thread would convert to 33.3 kg of rest mass. That's a bit more than half his own mass, enough to investigate nuclear options, and he generated it in a single JUMP, not even a punch. In other words, Saitama is beyond nuclear, and capable of producing some truly bullshit energy quantities. Your Newtonian physics is fine, but if Saitama has any energy conversion ability whatsoever, if the guy just heats up his goddamn hands or joints from working them so they radiate in one direction more than the other (back facing photons bounce off his body and also provide force) , the emitted photons would provide a momentum change just from punching space.

So why did he hold his breath if it's not to keep himself from suffocating?

Usually, people hold their breath in order to keep themselves from suffocating in a place where there's no breathable oxygen.
>>

i just mean that he looks like a human (or any living organism), so that he can be considered as a separated system, for the sake of easier application of Newton laws and conservation of momentum
>>
>>135210275
But he very clearly is not.
Not only has no human ever showcased - in the series - the same level of capability, there are multiple arguments against it.
First, his training regimen. Compare with that of Superalloy Blackluster, who kept on lifting until he was lifting multiple tonnes, with Saitama's 100 push up/squats 10km run. The first is vastly superhuman, the second is not. But Saitama reached unbelievable heights.
Second, his demonstrated powers. Stopping a giant bird with one hand while standing on concrete the very same bird has just destroyed even if it was not there. Or the other examples I gave earlier.
Third, he does not fit any of the existing powers in his universe. He has no ESP, no Fighting Spirit, his fighting skills are minimal. Yet he can resist direct ESP with no trouble, something he should be able to do. In a fight, things go his way unless he lets the opponent throw him around, which goes beyond physical strength.

It doesn't necessarily follow that having training regimens and showcasing superhuman abilities that Saitama can survive in space without running out of oxygen.

It seems to me that he held his breath because he thought that's what he should do. Let's face it, Saitama may look like a light bulb, but he's not very bright,
>>
>>135210637
But I am not claiming he can. You are claiming he must breath.
I merely show evidence that unless he wishes something affect him, it does not. Which could include the lack of air in space. Note that Genos himself points out the impossibility of what he does versus what he professes he did to become what he is now.

Moreover, this discussion is meaningless when the author deliberately sets out to make him as strong as he need to be, as favoured as he has to be. Which is acknowledged in universe and out of it. Again.

Really, one could make an argument that the entire events hinge upon Saitama deciding he will be a hero, and the universe bending over backwards to provide him with that. But the hero must win, thus no challenge.
>>

Are you claiming Saitama has Ironheart Surge or something, /tg/?
It's explained how he got so strong in-universe, you know. Read the webcomic.
In the setting of OPM, training will make an organism more powerful. However, every organism has a "limiter" that once they reach, they cannot get more powerful. Saitama broke his limiter; he can train and will always get more powerful. Every single push-up will give him a marked increase in strength, with absolutely no stopping point.
>>
>>135210820
>But I am not claiming he can.

So he can't. Therefore, he'll suffocate.

He held his breath for a reason. To not suffocate. He didn't hold his breath for no reason.

Unless you can give a valid reason why he held his breath, the logical assumption would be to keep himself from suffocating.

>>135210854

Were I to claim anything, I would claim that he is the entire reason his universe works as it does.

Which is to say that as the main character, he gets to decide what goes.

And as such, that his training was pointless. The thing that happened is that he decided at one point to be a hero, and the universe gave him monsters to defeat. He decided his enemies would fall in one punch, and they do.

Again, his training is bereft of anything capable of causing such a boost in power. Which is proven in universe by the training of others.

Charanko is pretty much Saitama before he became a hero. Yet he can do jack shit, and his power level is rock bottom.

Therefore, one may conclude that Saitama bends reality to a limitless degree.

In the manga, he notes once he gets thrown to the moon that now it looks like a fight. Because he is looking for one. Thus he gets one.
>>
>>135210840
>it would be statistically impossible for him to EVER reach anything or come close to an orbit of any heavenly body. He'd fly for billions of years and never come in contact with anything.
But see that's where you're wrong, not in terms of your science mind you, but the fact that Saitama is the cannon embodiment of all that's unfair in the universe. No matter how strong you are or how lucky you are, he'll always be stronger and luckier. Knock him to space? The moon of some other body will just happen to be there to break his momentum. He's like a game of Mario Kart where you get hit by a blue shell, a 3 red shells, a green shell, and a bomb-omb then slip on a banana 3 feet away from the finish line. Facts established in the manga:

-Saitama held his breath.
-Saitama can't fly.
-The moon stopped his momentum.

If he flew without the moon, he'd die or worse, fly into space lost until years later, when he finds his way to earth only to see destroyed because he wasn't smart enough to throw his glove to reverse his momentum.

So, how do the people arguing about power levels view fiction? Do they realize it's fiction? Do they understand that the various settings being compared don't actually exist, and that they don't necessarily have objective, clearly defined laws and mechanics governing the way the world, people and powers work? Do they understand the importance of narrative and thematic side of things?

>>135212510
He is unbeatable because that's how his character is defined. A character who isn't unbeatable isn't the same character. He is a fictitious character, not a real person. It is nonsensical to try to view him separate from the setting and narrative of One-Punch Man, because he only exists in the context of that setting and that narrative. The same is true for any and all other fictitious characters. Comparing characters from different settings is stupid because different settings aren't actually comparable: feats that are possible in one setting may very well be completely impossible in another setting, regardless the power and competence of the character attempting those feats.
>>
>>135212644
A fun place for thought experiments.
Yes^3.
Just because a work has high powerlevels does not mean it is good or bad, and nobody insists as such.
There are good works with extremely high powerlevels, there are bad works with extremely high powerlevels, there are great works with extremely low powerlevels, there is every and all combinations in between.
However, ill-defined and obscure settings are often a result of either poor writing or an extremely lighthearted project (e.g. a gag series).

>Except in this case, it's pretty damn obvious it's the latter.
But it isn't. OPM is comedy, it isn't slapstick. The setting is written seriously so as to facilitate the comedy of the protagonist. The setting HAS to be serious so that his incredibly not-serious countenance has greater impact.
That's precisely how the jokes of OPM flow.
>>
>>135212798
If coming up with the same few arguments and insults being thrown over and over again counts as 'a fun place for thought experiments.' then either you don't know what thought experiments mean or your standards for what pass for 'thoughts' are extremely low. Hell, there's barely anything that can constitute as an 'experiment' since for the most part people are just speculating shit with little basis since by the one of it, it's a comedy manga.
