You have the shit taste here. The premise was great. I loved the idea of a creature able to bend reality more or less unconsciously and the fact than some different creature was here to watch her. But thoses idea was almost not used, they were only here to said "Hey look, totally not another random SoL"
For example, they were talking about other factions of alien, esper and time traveler. Where were they beside the Nagato fight in the begining of the S01 ? They could had create something really big with the idea of multiple organization fighting in the dark about what do with Haruhi. MC as a kind of neutral point since he is the only one to have the trust of Haruhi.
But no. All you have is basic SoL with little touch of SF in S01 and a low budget/idea S02.
If it's enough to satisfy you, good for you but stop acting like it was a great anime.
