I-I'll try my best to read the zetsubou-sensei book. It seems super interesting, but all those interviews will take some time to get through.
I forgot to take some pictures of the Monogatari Character book, but it's quite nice as well. It's especially a nice touch that they added 'empty' pages as inbetweens, just as the frames in the anime.

I opened the wrapped card today, it arrived last week but turned out to be from the late exchange. Sorry for the weird list - I spent so many weeks picking a theme for my main wishlist I figured I'd put recent shows and whatever had occurred to me since in the late wishlist.
Cyan makes a really good silhouette though - and the glitter has the right glitzy feel. The floating Ao stealing a dumpling really captures her defiance for normality.
Good luck to you too Anon, I'm sure there are people somewhere nearer to you, but we're all being very sensible and hiding powerlevels. That said, don't you find it creepy when American Anons are all in the same town or city as each other? It's like there's some kind of l/a/y lines going on.

This one arrived yesterday. I feel you Anon, I took up ten cards this year and am still several episodes behind on some shows (catching up now I'm getting the finale cliffhangers, it's terrible). The weird thing is it gave me a fidgety feeling like I wasn't done yet when everything had been mailed already. I should take a page from your book and keep things simpler and more personal.

One more - I wasn't expecting something this handmade/craft-y, wow. Those Christmas trees had me threating over the sound in the envelope. I thought it was going to be glitterpocalypse or something crumbled, but it was just Godzilla-sized Shin-ah. Far more comfy.
I feel ashamed to say it took me forever to recognise Kakisuke and Rurio. Shiro really must have stole the show since I knew him straight away. The cat is very life-like.

Sorry in advance if this isn't /ss/ related.The town really feels like the setting in Natsume as it's a very quiet, nice, and calm place. Everyone is kind and the scenery is very beautiful.
I stayed in Hitoyoshi for 3 days, but I'd suggest people stay for 1-2 days depending if you have time. The square in the middle of the map, enlarged on the top left is the main area and is the most city-like. #1, 2 is the train station and I'd suggest you ride the SL Hitoyoshi from Kumamoto there since it's one of the few steam trains that still operates in Japan, do reserve seats a month or so in advance especially during busy season. At the station, you can ask for info and maps about Natsume-related places as they have a thick handbook.
I stayed at the Hitoyoshi Ryokan and even if it's a bit pricey, you get a view of the river from your room.
#3 is Nyanko sensei's shrine, a short walk from the station. Here, you can see emas with fan messages and that image I previously posted. Across the shrine is a popular shochu brewery.
The problem is #5-8 which is the outskirts of the village where you'd need a car to get around, or wait for a bus that makes limited runs for hours or so. Fortunately, one of the workers at the station offered me a tour of the place out of her own convenience. If I don't have a car, I'd mainly stay in the small square area, but the outskirts brings the setting to life. It’s also easy to get lost in the outskirts since some areas have no signs, just nature.
There are many other popular spots not related to Natsume like the Aoi-aso shrine, Eikokuji Temple with the ghost scroll, Hitoyoshi Castle.

Bit of a long story here. Back in 2013 my SS had some money trouble and shipped his gift out late, ended up having a shipping error and never got to me. S/a/nta had told me that my anon wouldn't be able to send it out again for a while, so I wasn't sure I'd ever get it.

You'd be surprised. My parents were atheist/apaheist, and all throughout my childhood I'd get cards and presents that were almost passive-aggresive, like bibles and such. It really depends on who your family is, there are definitely two Americas these days: one which is largely secular leaning towards SJW insanity, and the other which is so comically paranoid and conservative you'd think they were a stereotype made by the first group (like getting legitimately offended over a red coffee cup).
