I remember a good deal of people shit on it solely for it's art alone when the first chapter was out. Also, have the raws for Keiji's been put on anyone other than that IRC register site? I also like the art but it seems a little cartoonish.

Madokami is the only site I've seen have to Keiji's Gaiden.

Yeah, it looks like it'll be a bit more lighthearted than the previous spin-offs.
The first chapter just covered Keiji enlisting into U-NASA, talking to Michelle, Komachi, Amelia, and some new girl. He then stops a group of thugs from raping the new girl.
Keiji has a literal harem at this point.

I don't think Jet is that much of a blunder. The dude could knock back Komachi, nearly killed Akari, fucked up Nina and Aaron at the same time, destroyed mini Johjs, and survived a hoard of Johjs for hours, until he could regroup with his squad. He just gets fucked a lot because of plot.
