My theory is Wangnan and Karaka are brothers maybe from the 10th unknown great family, whose head was Zahard's wife/partner (wangnan thought "mother..." after talking to Hwa ryun).
Shit happened and Zahard killed her and the whole family leaving Karaka and Wangnan the only survivors.
Karaka joined FUG and is rising in power to kill Zahard and get his father's throne, while Wangnan for some reason had his shinsoo sealed and is using Baam to climb the tower.
Hwa Ryun literally says he's using Baam, he's basically immortal probably because Zahard's contract extends to him, also his horns are come probably from Zahard as they are the same red as the ring and zahard logo.
