Think it was Highschool DxD, then went from that Haremshit to Yahari, from there went to Mahouka, afterwards, Danmachi. The quality of the Haremshit out there, was terrible. Yahari set the bar quite high for me.
Anyone know of anything as good as Yahari?
2006 was 9 years ago. The LN translations at the time were passable, I guess.
I can't got into light novel, reading on a screen is already not so good with scans and comics, do reading a complete text on screen would be suicide for me

How difficult it is to read(as in how many Kanji you should know), that's technically it. Though because the younger you are generally equals the less kanji you'd know, LNs tend to be targeted toward younger audiences. Quality tend to vary wildly, but people seem to forget that the "real books" industry does so too, pretty much everyone can get a book published if you really want to, you just hardly ever hear about the shitty ones.

I stumbled across the translation of Fate/Zero shortly after it had been completed. I think that was the first light novel I had ever read. To this day I've only read a few of them. Rokka no Yuusha most recently.
