I don't hate on the Yus and each of them have their own characteristics. I'm just hard on Yugo considering how he was on fire since Season 1. He was this mysterious person that knew how to duel and wield a duel dragon. You know, I'm kinda liking Odd Eyes Gravity Dragon a lot more than I was expecting to in Pendulum Magicians. He's great discard fodder for Pendulum Call and Twin Twister, fucks over my opponents backrow and with his nigga Vortex makes'em pay to activate a card that will just be negated. Tuning Magician and Noble Dragon Magician make good discard fodder as well but I don't really have a lot of moments where I'd rather discard them over Gravity.

I agree with a portion of this. The Synchro Dimension is the very definition of wasting time. They could have just jumped straight to the tournament, to focus more on fixing the dimension and dealing with the invasion after, but unfortunately we have to spend episodes of the main characters literally doing nothing and then spending a short time in prison.
Couple this with the budget and Reij's voice actor being sucked out of the show alongside the general incompetence of the lancers and you have one hell of an arc that just needs to end.
If they would get to the invasion already, they could show us more of what people want to see, and that is the meat of this story.

The problem is that odds are we AREN'T going to get Synchro Dimension stuff once this arc is over. Tops and Commons are irrelevant in the Xyz, Fusion or Standard Dimension. The Council are irrelevant since if they don't get carded (which they probably will).
The only new characters we have truly gotten out of Synchro Dimension is Shinji (who nobody likes) and ENJOY (who while likeable, isn't Lancer material and will probably get carded by Obelisk Force/Barrett/Sora/Yuri anyway). Yugo is just Yuya's counterpart and was introduced before Synchro Dimension was, and both Jack and Crow are from 5Ds so they really didn't even need to be in ARC-V in the first place. As for Rin, we haven't seen her outside of flashbacks and she's basically a Yuzu clone anyway in terms of her actions.
Fusion Dimension/Academia will always be relevant no matter because they are the main villains (even if they were forgotten for half of Synchro arc and still haven't done anything). Xyz Dimension will always be important because of the Heartland Invasion and how it impacts other characters. Standard is always important since its the core dimension and most of the Lancers are from there (and Leo comes from there too). Synchro Dimension just feels like it exists just because they needed a Synchro Dimension.

This isn't even my opinion, its fact. You literally could just skip episodes 83-92 of 5Ds (Crashdown going from 86-92) and it wouldn't make a difference. As for ARC-V, episodes 52-73 of ARC-V were irrelevant to the overall plot and even then, it took until episode 85 for Yuri, an actual villain unlike Sora, to show up. Jean was basically the filler villain who exists to get BTFO by Reiji while the other Lancers deal with Academia.
GX is a clusterfuck of bad duels, characters and plots.
5D's started out strong but became a Yusei and Crow dick sucking contest after the 1st season.
Zexal had weak mains but stellar duels, side characters and animation.
Arc-V started off shit, became decent, then regressed to worse than shit with bad pacing, underused side characters,dragged out episodes and poorly written duels
The message is clear, Odd numbered series in the franchise will be interesting concepts but ultimately will conk out after their 1st season. This also means the next series will be annoying shit /a/ will not like but Japan will eat up. Hope you're ready for Xyz redux.

Curse of Dragon/Infernal Curse of Dragon have shit fusion materials and terrible stats for a level 5, even back then.
Gandora the dragon of destruction/Gandora X the dragon of destruction are both extremely situcational and more of then than not their effect would be negated making them worthless dead draws.
Van'Dalgyon the Dark Dragon Lord may be the most decent yet as it's effect is entirely dependent on the Solemn Cards. Afterwards, it's just a useless 2800 atk beater with no protection or any other effects
Amulet Dragon and Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight are the only dragons Yugi's deck is capable of using well and even then, it's doggy because for DMGDK you need a steady way to generate hand advantage so that you always have a card to toss into the grave for the destruction effect and Who in their right mind would banish ALL of their spells for a measly 100 attack boost unless some of those spells activate when banished? Maybe they should of made Yugi a OCG execulsive dragon that worked with spellcasters instead.

Let's look at what he set out to accomplish. He's basically trying to find his Rin through the powers of DRAGONS. First time he jumped dimensions, he got into a fist fight with his own dimension counterpart due to a mix of MISUNDERSTANDINGS and someone getting his name wrong. Yuri didn't have to do jack shit to turn the two Yus against one another and that's really bothersome.
I'm not saying that is useless to the point of being Yuma. I'm merely pointing out when making jokes about it, it really becomes jarring with how tastelessly generic it is.

The worst part is that the "I'll tell daddy" thing was a character trait that was barely existent previously. Actually, Shingo rarely preferred to use his father's influence over using his own skills, and while he wasn't good about defeat, he generally accepted that he was defeated because of his own flaw(s) and sought revenge after restructuring his strategy/deck.
The only time in the entire series where he actually uses his father's influence over his own skill is when he threatened LDS guards offscreen to get into the NEET cave.
Synchro arc turned him into a dipshit that cried "MY DAD OWNS A CAR DEALERSHIP" whenever the cops show up, like he's trying to use it as some sort of coping mechanism. When he's actually doing a full onscreen duel, he's pretty competent, but the show has him routinely get shortcut duels where he jobs out to no-names or retard strength.
Still hoping for him to get a duel against Yuri, though.
