There's really no solution for it though. If they offer it from US distributor, the people complaining still use the forwarder anyway. All they did was waste a bunch of licensing fees when they actually did offer it.
We get charged tax + domestic shipping + forwarder fee + proxy fee + international shipping. And yet it's still cheaper than middlemanning it with a US distributor. Japanese just get charged tax and shipping. Even if we cut out the tax, we'd still be jewed by the company and they'd charge us the same and complain that international shipments require nicer boxes, even though they use the same boxes.
Honestly all of these new higher prices and DLC scalping shit isn't that bad. We should all be worried about when the Japanese economy picks back up. I'm honestly thinking about how to make more money right now, just to keep up my buyfagging habits when that time comes. I'll probably just quit though. $55 for a figma shipped is pretty insane already. $70 for it shipped is not even worth caring about.

Bullshit. Shipping to the US, the lowest difference between EMS and RSAL is 410 yen, the highest is 1510 yen. If you use USAL it's 820 and 1920. The average for a decent 1/8 is like $70-100 at release. Price isnt a reliable indicator of quality in this hobby though. You just have to use common sense, read what people are saying about it, and know your manufacturers somewhat. Cant go wrong with GSC quality, for example.
My first figure was a $110 aftermarket Nendoroid. I like rare, exclusive stuff so no, 130 is not too much imo.
