I get the whole Togashi being sick thing, but it also feels like he just does not care about it anymore in the slightest.
If his health truly is declined to a state where he can't put out a chapter for months on end then he should consider stepping down, handing off whatever ideas he had for this arc and how the series should end to his assistants and just let them handle it.
He might get healthier, but he sure as fuck isn't getting younger. Not saying 50 is too old to work, but his bad health isn't exactly helping him out either.
