Jesus presumably couldn't be summoned in a Grail War because 1) too Divine (holy Trinity theology), or 2) It's not a competition that he would willingly answer the Grail's call for, or 3) Both.

I liked the idea, its pretty much the same setup as what we have now but MC is a girl who summons King Arthur and she has a disease killing her, idk what the war is about but Gil has the cure somehow and Arthur and Gil fight it out for it. I would guess it might have been better because Nasu had to change from it to what we have now so lots of his ideas would have been warped and written off to make way for other things like Saber, Rin and Sakura story lines.
