So whats the point of making saitama so stupidly OP? The animation in this series is great but its kind of wasted when most fights will consist of two things. Saitama will one hit kill some hyped up asshole monster the same way everytime. Or therell be other somewhat competent heroes who end up losing to a threat too big for them. Its getting kind of boring. Id rather the series was about the cyborg dude.
Maybe the manga and webcomic can offer more, but 9 episodes in this is getting stale.

I think its to be expected. Even in normal shows you can get a bevy of all sorts of complaints thanks to the internet, especially on /a/ where complaining is a form of discussion.
One Punch Man is a misleading series in that respect, because people expect parody but they don't expect a joke to be an entire show so will constantly say in their heads 'wait is he ALWAYS going to win in one punch?' and so they lose the ability to enjoy such a sublime series.

I'm not normally a "muh secondaries" elitist but holy shit stop forming opinions on the entire series when you haven't even read the manga yet.
There's a scene in the manga past the current story in the anime where Saitama gets asked questions by the police because his activities seem suspicious. He notices that the cops are all crestfallen because heroes are more flashier and appealing to the public eye while doing better work than they can. A monster attacks the police station and Saitama defeats it, but he puts on a police uniform and drags the corpse outside in front of all the gathered citizens, they see that the police did a fine job and got renewed hope for them.
It's moments like that that help you sympathize with Saitama better and realize that he's a true hero.
