I agree the problem came after episode 8, but I don't think it was all yurifags. There were equally as many "yurifags btfo" posts and it was clear to me that both sides were trying to get the other riled up.
That said, I still have hope for next season. We're having fairly reasonable conversation here and if they keep the romance understated it should be fine.

the second novel takes place literally a day after the first novel ends, it would make sense for the anime to take place in Summer 2016 considering the recap movie is in Spring and Kyoani usually spaces out their shows. That way, if the second season is 22+ episodes, they could also have the show end in winter, which it canonically does. Top comfy desu senpai.
