Looks like Bones couldn't resist going anime original in the end. Just when I thought Noragami would be an example of them being faithful to a source material.
Though in the grand scheme of things they didn't change much really. Ebisu still died and Yato and Bishamon both escaped the Underworld. All that remains is Yato releasing Nora and taking child Ebisu to the shop lady's place. All they really did was spice up the final battle a little, since it was kinda anticlimactic in the manga, what with Ebisu just getting zapped by Raijin.

It's important because it feeds more suffering for Yato, makes the viewer sympathize against 'heaven' and it was kinda perfect how the next time Yato sees Ebisu is him in his reincarnated form especially when they had that huge point going across about how he shouldn't keep reincarnating like that.

You can learn kana very easily in a short amount of time. Both hiragana and katakana are syllabic alphabets used to write words phonetically, not any different from western alphabets.
Kanji is an entirely different matter. It requires a lot of dedication to learn enough kanji to be fluent in reading, but even with just mastery over kana Japanese becomes a lot more accessible to you.
