Considering that armors are weaker than adults due evolving from child levels, probably those armors who evolves from adults are just like mode changes for the already strong adults, as armors adds their power to the base digimon rather than being a straight power up.

I picked it as a background because the combination of steel & heavy industry and architectural allusions to the Middle Ages suits the Tankmon —> Knightmon —> Duftmon line quite well. Plus when it's cropped and covered up like that you can't make out what it actually is; all you see is random Gothic shapes made out of steel, so it doesn't distract too much from the foreground.
