Well, more like shitty author's fault, but whatever. I usually don't like girls like Onodera (e.g., Haruna), but Kosaki just was different. And she DID confess, which is huge considering her personality, but of course there was stupid garbage writing from Komi. Her episode when Raku worked at her place was my favorite, and her asymmetric is one of the best hairstyles in all of manga/anime. Ichigo 100% always gave me hope that other harem manga/anime could go the unexpected route, but that's too much to expect from the likes of Komi. I really hope it just ends next chapter and doesn't drag on any more.

It's the main plot device. The series is about false love turning into real loves, the themes there have been there since the beginning.
Why would it end with some girl who isn't relevant to the main plot thread winning?
I don't read these kinds of manga, but I never understand why they have a super long running story like this, with multiple love interests, and they never have the MC try out dating the girls. Like maybe he's in love with this Chitoge character, but then they fall out of love after finding out a romantic relationship isn't really what he was looking for with her, and they break up, and he/she date other people for a while, before realizing that they really did like each other and they were wrong to break up.
Do harem stories ever go this route?
