I myself, expected the new gundam to suck since it is about orphans and a knight gundam and Under water Ray Rumono to be good, because it's based on a great story which the original anime glossed over. It must be opposite season.

I don't know about worst, but this year have lot of disappointment.
Aldnoah S2 is a letdown compared to S1
Kancolle anime was supposed to be a big thing.
Yuri Kuma doesn't live to Ikuhara name.
Nanoha vivid was another example of A-1 shitting all over artstyle again.
Aquarion logos doesn't even have the same quality singer and composer.
Chaos dragon become a proof big name doesn't always guarantee quality stuff.
Charlotte is key weakest title.

Can't really help it with Utwarerumono. It's part 2 of a series. Once you realize it's inevitable that another season will be made for the eventual 3rd game, the slow start makes a lot of sense.

Yeah ditto on Utawarerumono. I was expecting it to be like the first game/anime. Instead, it's 100% SoL for half it's runtime with no plot in sight.
I mean, one of the things I loved about the original was that it was constantly escalating - first Hakuro starts off in this tiny little town that slowly turns into a full blown rebellion as they defeat larger and more dangerous threats using 1!tactics!1 and absorbing much of their manpower into their own.
2 is just boring in comparison. Unless there's gonna be a third game that's a straight continuation, it purely feels like an excuse to show how the characters from 1 developed after a couple decades.

Aqualion was really disappointing too. I was expecting EVOL 2 with all the wackiness, Fudou nonsense, and !FUN!, instead I received a bland and soulless husk of artwork, characters and music with zero budget set in some of the most banal/retarded settings possible.

I'd have to agree on Chaos Dragon.
Character designs changed from the manga ones. Lou was okay, but everyone else was not.
Music was hype as fuck, but nothing followed up on the hype.
Everything related to the sister. That was a terrible ending.
The names of the characters were hard to remember, and were sometimes pronounced completely differently than what was spelled out. "Eyha" is the worst offender.
MY FRIENDS ARE ALL DEAAAAAAAAAD was kind of a cool plot point, but when good characters were dying, it got old REALLY quick. First death was acceptable because it set the story in motion, but still; fuck you author.
It was fun to watch, but it was not that good storywise.

M3 The Dark Metal. I liked the horror atmosphere and some of the characters but I've never watched a show that used so many fucking flashbacks. Every episode past the halfway mark felt like a recap episode.
Tie between Full Metal Panic and Log Horizon. I didn't make it all the way through either so I don't know which is worse but they are both vying for worst show I've ever watched.
