I was disappointed going from Nekomonogatari Black to White, and having to deal with Chocolate Insomnia again. It was okay, but definitely one of the weaker Monogatari OP's.

Shinobu Time's opening was the best opening in the series. I agree that it wasn't the best opening "for" the series though, but if you had to listen to each one individually the quality of it is just in a notch higher.

I agree that all of them are relatively good. But I also enjoy Kaerimichi the least so we're just have different preferences.
If I had to list them, it'd be in different tiers, instead of a straight ranking. There isn't a specific song that I like listening to the most.

The OP has to fit the arc and the character, and Mathemagics does it very well but I like both upbeat and slow songs. Marine Inoue made a great performance with a lower range than other OPs and whenever it goes "It was you" it makes me remember the fifth episode. They could do a trick more elaborate than a mirror, but visual wise it's pretty fitting as well.
It got to my top tier OPs at the end of the arc mostly because it grew on me with the character.
