Lucky Star didn't make laugh my ass off, but I really, really enjoyed the interactions between the characters and the characters themselves.

It is a comedy just slower paced. Just because it isn't exaggerated and zany doesn't mean it's not comedy. It's like comparing Seinfeld to MAD TV or something

You're clearly not the target audience then. Lucky Star is good and I found it funny back when it aired and a couple years ago when I rewatched it with friends.

If you're not enjoying it and don't think it's funny you should just drop it and move on.
