I don't think most people treat the waifu thing as seriously as you think. It's mainly just people picking their favorite female character. People make charts with them because making chart and cateregorizing and looking for art, screens is fun. Just like with 3x3s.

Well, I don't so that's why I might think this way. But to me it seems kind of like how people get sad when characters in films or books die. You know they aren't real, you don't mourn them like you would someone irl, but you still feel sad and sometimes you might get actually hurt. In the same way if a character has an attractive design and personality you can feel attracted to them, doesn't mean you're deluded.

OPM is definitely worth watching if you at least can appreciate the "animation" part of anime.
Osomatsu-san has its fair share of duds, but the sketches with the main cast are generally good, plus animation quality is consistent, excellent to look at overall.

Fixed in the DLC. Bloodtinge and Arcane become much more viable and the new weapons are great. And it escalated it for me being equal to DaS. Because DaS has a great first half and an incomplete second half. Where as BB is the most complete Miyazaki game yet.

I guess that's true, but my motto about all multiplayer games is that none of the online communities will survive forever. So I don't give a shit about invasions/pvp. Unless that is the main focus of the games. And as earlier Souls games. That is not the case, because of the imbalance weapons/armor.
Also you should of pointed out the biggest con. And that is that the Vial system is awful compared to the Estus system in previous games. Though if you have coldbloods use them all on vials. Also the DLC location has a free vial farming spot that can be exploited. Also it solved my biggest issue of DaS. Which is the backstabs.
I love fucking viscerals. They are the perfect solution to the issue that all souls games had.
The lore is better then DaS, but the characters are worse then in DaS. There is no likeable character in the game.
There are really sympathetic characters, but most of them are the bosses and not actual NPC's.
There is no Solaire, Anastacia, Logan, Crestfallen Merchant, Dusk, Gough, Laurentius, Chester, Quelana, and Rhea.
Like it felt as if all the NPC's in Bloodborne were all Patches or Rhea. It just needed more likeable characters. I know the lore backgrounds of the DLC and some of the bosses are amazing/great. MARIA!!! But you can't really interact with them beyond fighting them.

Thanks for the names of the other films though, over the break I might give them a try. Somehow though, each time I get a bit more into live-action I just want to come back straight back to animation after a while.

Don't really understand why you strayed off to this subject, but ok. I think it would be even more weird, if the reason your favorite character was dead was something you took into account whether you like them or not. It's just a character overall, you can re-read the watch and or re-read the content with them and have the same experience. It's with people in real life you can't do it.
My point is that still most people in waifu threads just like the charactes design and personality. I post Yuuko in waifu threads because I like her character traits and I find her sexy, but I don't have a shrine or ever think about her in non-anime related context or anything. She's just a character, just one I find cool and who's design I like. I don't even have any figures or posters of her, honestly I'd find that rather weird.

But they don't have ratings of 10/10 on every website, so how can they be overrated? I found the atmosphere too profound and disturbing and on top of that the mystery was really, really engaging so I never felt either was dull. But I'm just a fan of shows with that type of puzzle-like exposition, it adds an element of interactivity that isn't really something the medium often contains.

Does that mean you actually do like them yourself? And I dunno man, I don't really see why I would be. On 4chan I'm anonymous, so it's not like AT haters will come to my house and in their trenchcoats and club me to death with their fedoras and katanas. My real life friends don't browse 4chan or even reddit or tumblr and they still like Adventure Time as well (they aren't even exactly aware of the critisism), in fact I marathoned the new season eps of it up till the Stakes ending with my flatmate. We did the same with most of the last season. As for my friends most of them haven't seen Steven Universe at all, it is a fairly new show and doesn't get that spammed on public sites like AT has by now I guess. I mentioned it to them but nobody has checked it out yet;_;.
I do have one friend that does browse 4chan and has seen both but I feel the site culture has really got to his head. He tends to use the words "autism", "cancer", "sjw", "pretentious" or "edgy" a bit too much compared to a normal human being and hates almost anything that becomes popular, often without really checking it out. So in the end it's hard to really treat him that seriously, so I tell him I like stuff like newer AT eps or SU and he'll nag a bit as usual. Still like the guy, at least there's someone I know in real life with who'm I can talk about the more obscure stuff or animated titties.

as far as /co/ stuff... if you follow along on threads as episodes air, you get a definite sense of when shows decline, when their popularity spills over, when hey're improving, when animation was shit on episode, etc. AT been's underpar for a while although the new season has been pretty good.SU is a whole nother case anon, if you browse /co/ there's no way you can say it's not controversial, the SU General gets so incredibly bad that mods have banned it whenever the show is on haitus.so yeah, I'm a fan of both shows but in a casual way, since certain board cultures have different atmopsheres than casual real life.
