You can't just say Saber isn't well written and not back it up with any kind of explanation. /a/ loves their 1 dimensional sluts and can't stand it when a character with some measure of duality appears. It's the same reason people hate Mikoto. The very idea of a strong female character wanting something more down-to-earth out of life than their usual heroic antics causes nerds to sperg out for whatever reason. /a/ only likes female champions of justice when they are suffering or dead. They aren't allowed to ever be happy unless it's a lesbian relationship. Which is precisely why Sayaka and Homura are so revered, despite sharing the same archetype. They fell or died and never pursued cock.
