He flies around in the space equivalent of a fat mobile just so that he doesn't have to fly anywhere, which is a trivial task for him. He had never trained in the slightest before in his life, and was considered the strongest being in the universe short of Beerus and Buu who were mythical entities. And so he actually trained, for the first time in his life, and was able to catch up to them relatively easily.
