It was a frame by frame remake and giving extra effort to drive home the feeling of certain scenes.

The anime was pretty good, I hope we'll see season two.
But manga is still better. It's hard to convey it's style very accurately in colour.

OVA coming in March. It will cover the chapters that were skipped over in the prologue (everything between the boys getting out of the prison and the underground student council going to prison). Hopefully it comes with a season 2 announcement.

The art in the anime is shit, total shit compared to the manga, but I still enjoyed it.
The art looks bad and the first three episodes were rushed to hell but after that it was smooth sailing.

The pacing in 1st episode was shit, but apart from that it was a pleasant suprise. Threas suffered greatly though, can't certainly say if it was because of anime or just manga went to shit. Propably both.
