Sometimes I get nostalgic and restart a series just to let it sit at ep4 for a few months. I started watching Chu2 heart throb again recently and am enjoying how comfy it is. Absolute garbage show, for sure, but it felt like seeing old friends when visiting your hometown while knowing you're gonna fuck right back off and leave them behind again. It's kind of satisfying.

You reminisce over old time, relive the fun memories and compare it to the crap that comes out today and get to moan about how much better things were then. Then the sadness starts to creep in. You will never be able to watch it again for the first time. Will anything give you same feeling ever again? Maybe it was only so magical and incredible because of your youth. You won't be able to go back to those days again. What have you even achieved since then? You're still a shut-in whose only solace is to watch Chinese cartoons in order to give you a brief respite from reality, only to come to the realisation that even these are not giving you the same enjoyment they once did. What about when the magic fades completely? Your only friend is /a/ anyway, and if you can't even share that one interest, what is point in continuing at all? Maybe you should end it now, before it even comes to that.

It's a relatively pretty episodic anime, so I just random episodes on impulse maybe once or twice every 2-3 months. I'm generally not big on rewatching. So cumulatively, that's about 3-4 times probably.
I watch the movie every December though I might not this year, since it's pretty long.
Only if I am trying to get somebody to watch it with me.
I've watched Initial D First Stage 5 times, and if you count the live action/Legend movies and battle stage, I've gone though the story way more than that.
It's such a good show, too bad the other stages aren't.
