A cute girl feels the urge to do cute things with a cute girl.
Unable to do cute things, she is gifted with by cute ex machina with the cute girl's thing. Never minding the strange thing, she immediately does cute things, and is overjoyed to find out that cute girl wants to do cute things as well.
But, the next day, when she recounts the previous day's cute things done with the cute girl, she only looks at her with a uncute expression. After some investigation, she finds out that the cute girl she did cute things with is not the same cute girl she originaly wanted to do cute things with. In fact, she doesn't want to do cute things in this universe at all. She is the girl's alternate universe counterpart, who wants to do cute things with the MC's own alternate universe cute self, who too is blissfully unaware of her desire to do cute things.
Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their cutest, most private things in order to equip the other with cute things they need to do cute things with their other cute selves. While the two do cute things with their alternate universe cute girls, NOTHING ensues as they begin to feel desire to do cute things with each other instead and question the NATURE of SoL.

You don't understand. Moe comedy is a special unique invention of the Japanese. The laughs don't come at the conventional glee of witnessing someone's stupidity. It's a laugh of pure delight at seeing something so cute. It's a more noble way of doing comedy.

I prefer moe comedy that still has character development. I'd rather watch Working, Mitsudomoe or Azumanga Daioh since I can get cute girls doing cute things, but also a developing story.

After watching the whole first season, I didn't see much of any growth. The characters seemed to be the same as they were at the start of the series. Despite joining a club and talking daily with each other, they didn't grow or change. Aside from the loli girl who went from a reluctant outcast to semi annoyed tag along.

Yui has a good bit of character development, becoming less shy and more secure as she discovers her talent in playing the guitar.

The first season is mostly focused on Yui going from a useless piece of shit to finding a source of motivation to try harder in life. She learned to play guitar, sing, make friends, study. S2 is mainly about Azusa becoming fully keionified from her stick-in-the-mud personality. The rest of the girls get comparatively much less development but at least more than nothing. Mugi learns the ways of commoners bit by bit for example.

She is trying her hardest not to flaunt her wealth around her friends and gets really embarrassed when it accidently slips through.
She doesn't want to be seen as a wealthy brat by her friends.

Even Sawako got a bit of development just in S1. She starts off mellow then tries to act cute for a while before embracing her zaniness. Although this happens pretty fast, like within the span of 3 episodes so you might easily forget it.
