3.0 ruined the chances of it ever being good.

Anno didn't forget though, he just doesn't care since the goal of the Rebuilds is just to flatter his favorite characters by rewriting them into something the original characters never were.

He's more or less gotten that done with 3.0, so the sequel isn't as important.
