Did you watched the show at all? Half the premise is about Kojou need priests to suck blood from to help him control or obtain new kenjuus. He'll never be alone since he has friends or new girls popping up to help him out. Himeragi is Kojou's Observer so she is by his side all the time when there are battles about, it's her duty. Besides, even though Kojou needs help in various ways, he is usually the one who downs the big bad of each arc by himself, so your complaint doesn't make much sense.
