I absolutely adore them. But it works in a different way than it's usually done.
When we get pantyshots in impossible ways, they make no sense and lose appeal.
When we get a natural pantyshot because it should happen due to laws of physics or camera angle, then it makes sense and it's cute and or sexy.
It's also incredibly frustrating when they aren't shown and the physics are ignored (like skirts remaining up when the character is hanging face down).
So when people say "but it's better because there's no fanservice to distract from the plot" (to start with, that's bullshit), it actually results in the opposite since it's fucking weird to think "why is all this obtrusive shit in the way, why do we need to be so prude about something that's either irrelevant or natural or whatever".
