Shows with huge casts usually end up having popular people (ranging from gori-oshi rookies to actual veterans), but they also have loads of nobodies.
Arakawa has decent sized cast and they're all voiced by some of the most famous people (excluding Omigawa) pretty much equally from both genders, majority of them having over 10 years of career behind them at the time.
Also, each seiyuu fits perfectly into their role and the characters are really unique (both design and writing wise) so it never feels like you're watching a show with a cast that was picked out of popular people just because they were popular (ie. >>133641254).
