Tales of Abyss made me play the game and now I'm a fan of the series.
Same happend with Chaos;Head.
I think this is a sign of a good anime.

At the part with Faris' RaiNet tournament and The Viral Attackers being cheating cunts and holy shit I can see why most of this was cut. I'd say the anime is on par if not a bit better so far.
