They basically just advertised it as "over a dozen teenage boys in tanktops". No girls were featured in the initial promotional material. Kudelia and Atra were revealed via like two seconds of screentime each in the preview, which gave them a feeling of being thrown in there more to fulfill a quota than anything else.

With the exception of the guy who didn't want to kill kids, everyone who's died so far has been a one-dimensional villain. You could make them generic boss characters in a Fire Emblem game, complete with three lines each to sum up the entirety of their characters (they're stupid, cowardly, highly corrupt sociopaths, and that's about it), and not a damn thing would change.
And as for the one fatality so far that hasn't belonged to a Saturday morning cartoon villain, Mika probably would have spared him if he hadn't explicitly asked him to kill him. If he had been begging for Mika to spare him, and Mika shot him for no justifiable reason other than to shoot him, you might have a point, but IBO really hasn't done anything worthy of being called edgy yet.
As for the girls, one of them will probably die, but it likely won't be right away, and not by Tekkadan hands.
