First off, this is Touma's fight and Touma's fight alone. It'd be stupid to threaten someone uninvolved to go clean it up for him. Next, Touma doesn't know enough about either Accelerator or Kamisato to be sure Accelerator could actually win. What if Kamisato blew through Accelerator like he did? What if Kamisato could kill Accelerator? He'd be looking at effectively murdering Accelerator or a serious round 4 with him because he sent Accelerator to get his ass beat. Third, even if Touma ignored all that and got him involved, I doubt he'd threaten Accelerator. Reminder that Accelerator is dangerous to even Touma. Does he really want to risk a threat to a guy even he had trouble beating last time- when he was throwing the fight? I love Accelrator but tossing him at everything is not the answer

The whole point of the "Crowley keikaku" epilogue scenes is to show that Touma doesn't really have the freedom he thinks he does. Everything he's done in the series has either been irrelevant to or furthered Crowley's plans. The sole exception was WWIII, where thanks to Biribiri's interference he almost unwittingly eluded Crowley's net.
Do you really think, to take an example, that Mr. Unlucky Touma was lucky enough to win on his own a trip to Italy just in time to run into Bishop Wakamoto and his fleet of ice ships?
At this point in NT, I just want to see Touma pull off something completely retarded yet awesome like ONIISAMA and save the day without any sacrifices. Of course getting Leivinia, Index, and Othinus to say a resounding "Sasuga Touma!"

Got the entire scan of the novel, and I suck at japanese but I was able to confirm some things.The shoggoth thing, seem to be AC's experiment with Kakine's dark matter. Kakeru is severely wounded by the end after his fist-fight with Touma in the finale (caught off guard by IT), no idea the status of Touma since his POV ended the moment they punched each other. He then killed off Noukan when Noukan came to assassinate him. By the way his catchphrase in contrast to Touma's is "Do you wish for a new world?", which he says a lot, Noukan says he doesn't, so Kakeru seemed to have beaten Noukan to death.
Touma seem to wonder about IT, but Othinus says that he shouldn't chase after something like that.

The volume's POV is split between Touma and Kakeru's side, where we get a look at what the both of them are thinking, and it ended with Kakeru's POV.
The reason for the final-fight between the two of them, is that with Neph dead, Othinus is the last Majin remaining, Kakeru said they have the right to exact revenge on the Majins who forced this irregularity on to them, but Touma wouldn't hand her over, so they fought.
