Terra Formars is one of those things that while poorly written don't rely on that.
Terra Formars is an action manga, and the action is great, the fights are fucking amazing, I can say all the fights managed to hype me up.
The fact that the roaches are so easy to hate makes it easier to side with the humans too. Everyone is based as fuck and dunno man, it's just really FUN to watch.

The characters are indeed charismatic and likeable, which I why I said they're all based.
The plot is there so that it isn't mindless killing(more than it is) but it's not really the "point" of terraformars. The point is the cool fights and the cool characters.

S3 was pretty great, but you realize that it mostly focused on the Shana and Yuuji dynamics and skipped the multiple subplots and world building that the Light Novel had.

I played the VN and enjoyed it then (mostly UBW). The anime with the changes definitely gave it more texture I could bite into and I have no issues rewatching it over and over.
That said, can't waiy for the HF movie(s). Nasu should be able to fix a lot of the pacing issues that arc had if the UBW anime is an example of more polish to his works.

It's not even the same thing. FMA is a very good anime, and I can say that because it has interesting themes and ideas, good characters and world-building. The GG anime had nothing, it was just "TAROUMARU" and never kept what made the manga good: the balance between "moe" and "horror" and Yuki's reality slowly disappearing until her famous breakdown, each girl's role (which was really unclear in the anime), keeping the fucking dog dead, staying consistent character-wise, keeping flashbacks to a minimum and so on. All things that the anime didn't do, and more.
It was a fucking mess and anybody who liked it needs to seek help to get over their shit taste.
It's certainly not the best, but in my opinion, the CGI was well executed for the premise, and the pacing was acceptable, alongside the moeblobs in it.
It does have it's arguable flaws though, such as

For me, the first 2/3 was great (second half was fine until after the banana episode), the Altair arc was mediocre but watchable, and then finally the last 4 episodes started to actively piss me off. But while it ended badly, it didn't completely negate the fun I had with the vast majority of the show. Just turned the show into much more of a "what could have been".
Also helps that I watched it after it finished and knew exactly what I was getting into, I suppose.

It's a solid06/10 for me, and it's like a mix of the crappy anime I first watched as a preteen I ate up and the shitty JRPGs I slogged hours into, so it kind of has that nostalgia going for me.
