The manga is I am a Hero and there isn't that many super scary scenes.
It's a zombie manga but the zombies are pretty fucking scary as you could tell from that pic.

He could of just started by showing us her creepy ass face. That would of spooked us, but showing her crawling towards us first was way creepier.

The tension was fucking unbearable, as soon as I saw her face I was like oh shit....then when I turned the page it transitioned into an even closer image of her face.

Gantz is pretty well executed, but it still has all the typical 3d trace issues. The characters have good proportions, but often look kinda wonky or flat, and all of the action shots look like still frames.
There's a fair bit of photobashing too. Look at the building behind the action, the ruins to the right and the street to the left.
