Her happy ending is with Nyaruko though.
Probably all future Kuuko threads will be funeral threads
For such a young talent, Miyu's already had so many roles under her belt. But the one I know Miyu for most is Kuuko.
I admit I somewhat overlooked Kuuko at first, but then the 2nd season hit and I somehow fell in love. Not just because she got dere for Mahiro, but her character seemed to momentarily tickle something in my mind that made me notice her more.
I can't believe that she's gone, this is a terrible nightmare.
Miyu seemed like such a nice person that I wonder if she ever had the chance to start a family at least. I don't know what to feel right now. I mean she probably could have gotten way better treatment for her acute pneumonia in America, where we actually do have some great medical treatment compared to most other nations, if not all. Fuck fuck fuck fuck

Takano Naoko (Kohaku) only has an Ameblo blog, and so far it hasn't been updated since the 17th last month. Of the Prisma Illya staff, only Ueda Kana and Nazuka Kaori have tweeted about it, along with mangaka of PI. Kadowaki Mai and Itou Shizuka haven't commented on it in any of their social media pages.
Second season.
>>133078793

This is probably the first industry death that hit me the most simply because of how sudden it is and how she voiced so many characters that I grew up with during the mid-2000s (Yoshinoya-sensei, Isumi, Fujiyoshi.)

>>133078714
Not after her arc.
She still wanted Nyaruko because that's her one note role in a comedy, but in the rare moments we saw serious Kuuko, she enjoyed her time with her shounen more.
>>133078895

It was probably the first one most of the current population experienced, but I'm sure there have been others that went before her.
There have been deaths other than seiyuu that have had big impacts. Nakamura's passing was a big one, as was Yamaguchi's.

Yeah, and I'm suddenly beyond disappointed that I stopped where I did. But I was actually trying really hard to top myself week after week with those, and I was having problems with it. I kind of want to rewatch S2 and try to pick up where I left off. I was right in the middle of the Kuuko arc, too.
Thanks for those caps. I still had the folders with the text files/screencaps on my hard drive but it crashed about a month ago, and I honestly made myself sick over it. I knew I'd see the S1 caps if I lurked enough Nyaruko threads but those S2 threads were pretty sparse so I didn't think anyone would have 'em. That's also the only time I ever used a tripcode, and I honestly don't know how they work, but I'm pretty sure the secure one I was using would be dead since I'm behind a different modem and on a different machine. I think this was the original one though.
>>133079211

>>133078976
I think Kawakami Tomoko's passing was a pretty big deal too, considering she was in Utena, Air and Kanon, and Bleach. She had just finished Amber in Darker than Black only 2-3 before she died as well.

That reminds me, I could go straight through F. I think I'm gonna rewatch the series and see if I get any ideas. I've been pretty depressed since last night and it'd be a nice way to get through it. Nyaruko still gets threads here and there so I could just put it all together and post it in a thread if I see one instead of spamming like I used to. I'd probably have to reread some of Lovecraft's short stories first, but I'd love to say I finished it, it always bothered me that I stopped halfway.
Fabricated by Takeuchi to avoid making Tsukihime remake and keep on cloning Saber forever.
We were still going to have another season. ;_;
Remember that there is 1 OVA for S1 and two for S2

Leave Takeuchi alone
>Takeuchi was responsible for the maids and Hisui was his favorite character from Tsukihime as she was the perfect maid in his opinion
>Hisui was the basis for Saber
Talking shit about Hisui is the equivalent of talking shit about Saber to him.
Are you calling F a second OVA? I know the S1 OVA was the magical girl episode, and the S2 OVA with the onsen, but I'm missing one if you're not counting F as an S2 OVA.

>>133080010

>>133080076
Gotcha, I just never considered F as an S2 OVA because it was more like an ending for the series, with its own OP and ED and everything. I remember when they hinted at announcing something it seemed like it was S3 instead of an OVA, so it always felt like a stand-in to an S3 to me. But just making sure I didn't miss an OVA somewhere, that's all.

But the Kuuko drama is what helped boost her character from generic horny lesbian rapist. It's just that some of the drama, like Nyaruko's, just retread the same territory a few times just for the sake of trying to get us to feel some sympathy for her when she hardly warrants any in the first place considering her highly selfish attitude.

That Anon is right that Miya had other health problems so in the end, she was a very sick person and I highly doubt doctors shrugged at her when she first started having the pneumonia symptoms back in July was it? Good. Hosptals have to deal with trauma patients, heart attacks and other cases where death is imminent. Pneumonia is serious, but as long as your recieving care there's almost no threat of imminent death. If your conditioned worsened, you would have seen the urgency you crave.

Whose healthcare system do you think is the best, then?
And why are other countries not following its example?
>>133087735
>Whose healthcare system do you think is the best, then?
The issue is that Japan has an excellent healthcare system that isn't being utilised. Doctors can't help you if you don't show up at the clinic. Japanese people avoid sick leave and try to tough it out, until it becomes serious. That's why whenever you actually HEAR about celebrities being ill, it is always a big deal.
>>133087796
I don't know about that, the article makes it sound like a shortage of doctors (due to state quotas) is what's hampering Japan's healthcare system.
I know that the working mentality is playing a big part but I haven't heard that many positives from their healthcare either.
This show was the most brutal.

>The Japs themselves are ridiculously germophobic and thus their bodies haven't developed immunity to many illness that are less than a blip on the radar in other countries.
Pneumonia has a big chance of killing you regardless of your race/country. The problem is that Japanese people are supposed to work till they drop like flies before seeking medical attention while it is just some longer-than-normal cold.

I'm not sure if I can tell myself that she lives on in the characters she did, because right now it feels that they all left with her;_;

Canadian here. Our healthcare system would be good if there weren't huge waiting times for emergency rooms and transplants. Not enough stuff basically.
Two mornings ruined by my playlist deciding to shuffle a song off Kuuko's character CDs into my morning commute. These are painful days.
She is dead and we will never hear her beautiful voice in anime ever again.
Let that sink in...

>>133089131

The Japanese VAs were father and son at least, IIRC in English they're voiced by the same guy (or at least they were).
A real crime is that she has no good figures.
>>133113523
Agreed. I'm not normally into flat, but her figure is luscious.
>>133114261
I swear it could just be the fire motif she has on that figure of hers. It's as if it invites you to touch it, and at the same time it's just overall a pleasant sight.
>>133113523
I bought Griffon's, I know I shouldn't have but I don't even care. I might actually try to track down that CM's Corporation one now if I can find it cheap. I actually bought FREEing's 1/4th Nyaruko almost solely because I wanted to get Kuuko as well and pair them up but FREEing let me down.
>>133114464
In the end, you did it for her. I hope she gets a nendo/scale/figma like Nyaruko someday.
>>133114492
It's a shame 'cause Nyaruko got a pretty hefty number of figures but I actually wasn't thrilled with any of them aside from FREEing's. Kuuko got a couple of prize figures that almost look better than her actual scales. It's a shame. I can't tell you how disappointed I am that FREEing didn't do a 1/4th since they tend to do multiple characters from series.
>>133114385

Looking back at Miyu's past roles, most of them were pretty minor. The ones in which she impressed me at the time were from Da Capo, Pani Poni Dash, Claymore, Nyaruko and Shimoneta. The latter two were her best works in my opinion, I'll miss Anna's lewd moans.

Exactly how pissed do you think Kana Asumi is that no one told her about Miyu's death until after that event she had to go to on Friday because the staff thought she would be too depressed to go on stage. She was the only one on stage who didn't know.
I'd be breaking shit if someone did that to me.

I don't know anon but the parallel to a very recent character and how Hidamari Sketch is just a super feel good healing SoL makes it painful.
>>133130349
It was in the mega-thread. But there was a fan event on the 30th or 31st for one of the two anime they were recently in together, either Nylarko or Shimoneta, and all the cast were warned before hand about Miyu's death except Kana and were instructed not to mention it to Kana. Kana was then told after the event before everyone went home. Witnesses tweeted that she did get upset.
And she has not tweeted, released a statement, or been seen in public since.
Of course her tweet and blog have been patchy this year since she got married in January, so it could just be coincidence.

Here's the thing about Asumi Kana and Tamayura event
Which roughly translates to
>At the greetings at the end of yesterday's Tamayura event, Asumin commented "Let's do our best until the end of Tamayura", while thinking she was hiding her embarrassment from saying such things, she went on to say the same thing to the other cast members, and even Gibu-san who has never shed tears in Tamayura events started crying (to be continued)
>I thought there was something different from usual, Asumin and Gibu-san knew the death of Matsuki-san, that thought, the thought that that might have been the case made it heartrending.
