I understand the whole part of wanting to pay homage to her, but I gotta be honest, I don't think this is a good idea. Tributes can be really cathartic but I think it's important that they be simple and limited. The FW watch isn't something that's been planned for years, but it's actually kind of healthy to keep up with your regular routine (ie. what you were already planning on doing). I'd suggest continuing with the watch as is, and if we're going to do a tribute watch, I'd actually suggest something more like the movie. Yup, really. It's awful, we'll laugh, we'll cry, we'll criticize, we'll remember, but it's not something we'll keep doing for weeks.
I don't think I could stand reading through thread after thread of the whole community reminding themselves that she's gone because they're binging SS. That feels more like wallowing.

Umakoshi is currently one of the main suspects for next year's character designer, so I'm trying to see if he can be eliminated or not. I mean, that's not impossible, but Umakoshi seems to be the type to get highly involved in the series he designs characters for. For the Stan Lee project, I can see him designing, then abandoning it (then again he was busy with Nagahama's Mushishi), but HeroAca? Likely to see lots of Umakoshi sakuga.
Doremi and Heartcatch seem to be among his favorites, so I feel that if he does get called to design the Mahou Tsukai characters, he would want to take charge of the animation.

If you really buy into the circlejerk about Mana being the only significant part of Doki, there might be some merit to this idea, but Regina isn't drawn into Mana's awesomeness or something vague like that, she's genuinely conflicted about who she is, whether being selfish all the time was really what she wanted, and whether there's some value to friends other than "they're good for me." But all this shit kind of gets buried by a brutal mishandling of the whole selfishness/confidence/selflessness clusterfuck theming in Doki. Shitty characterization of Mana aside, she's the only character with the semblance of a worthwhile arc in Doki.How this has anything to do with her being part princess is beyond me, though.

Aguri was great, she was basically born with only the knowledge and memories of being a noble knight, and with the responsibility to train the Precure, just like Ange. She was also clearly competent to shut down Regina like that, although I'm sure the other cures could have too if not for Mana. Her own development with her grandmother and loosening up about being so uptight and righteous came nicely with her training the girls in the oaths or whatever. Plus, she's cute.

I don't know, her episodes are my favorite in the whole franchise.
Regina and the royal crystals or whatever they were named was the worst part of Doki.
The best part was after Ace's arrival (the actual arrival was shit) and the 15 or so episodes where she was gone.

All that sounds nice on paper but you seem to forget the beginning and the end of everything about Regina's "character development" starts and end with Mana, what she feels about Mana, what she thinks Mana feels about her, how Mana will think of her, and what will be the best for Mana.
