I cried /a/, this is a literal masterpiece.

pingpong chingchong whatever.
When the show first came out the shitfests were so wild I couldn't even tell which sides were trolling.
Watched it not too long ago and it was pretty great.

Kong was the best. Sakuma ended up pretty nice too

>It's been over a year
Jesus fuck

lel fk off hipster
No, it's a meme. The live-action version is better, anyway.

>The live-action version is better, anyway.
haha no it's really not
I liked it because it felt more like a "sports movie" than a "sports anime".
I literally just finished re-watching it right now.
It's a fun ride with amazing characters and character development.

I agree, Kong is the biggest bro
Honestly, the best show this millennia.
>>132209738
yes, best anime in years
the greatest emotional experience of my life, stronger than my first kiss and my grandpa's funeral combined
>>132209738
go away, reddit. the cringey melodrama is even more extreme than one piece and the animation is just plain bad. Unique, yes, I'll give it that, but that doesn't make it good. It's just trash. If you cried you probably also cried watching NGE and Clannad.

I cried too
>>132210371
Do you even know what melodrama is?
The Christmas episode was too real for me. I haven't been able to muster the will to continue watching it since then.
>>132210371
Where are all these le reddit, normies/REEEEEE and other fags coming from?
This thread is bait.
it's good, but like NGE
it's fan base is shit
>>132210371
>melodrama
Are you retarded? Do you watch nothing but SoL to the point that any remotely serious emotions are melodramatic to you?
>>132210371
Go back to reddit you newfag baiting mong.

The anime is better because it actually covered some of the best moments (Kazama's motives, reunion between coach, granny and principal, and way more Kong scenes) also, the ending with Tsukimoto and Kazama is 1000x better.
Won't deny that the movie is pretty fucking good though.
>You will never watch Ping Pong for the first time ever again
